When I went to SP today, I managed to watch their dance club's performance.

Be it the dance from their modern genre or the BBoys, the entire performance just made me smile a lot and I started thinking back.

I remember when I first started dance, when I was 9 years old. The school wanted to start a hip hop CCA and I volunteered to be in the pioneer batch. We did a lot of school performance and finally when I was primary 6, we went for our first public competition.

Sadly, it was also the only competition of the pioneer batch.

We didn't get any placings but we got the most energetic award and we were quite happy (: My first dance competition... I will never forget the excitement I felt.

So my passion for dance continued till secondary school. Being the idiot I am, I mistook modern dance for hip hop. I didn't really enjoy modern dance and I wanted to join an outside hip hop dance class badly but my schedule didn't allow it.

And then I started working after 'O' levels, sigh.

Even though I didn't like modern dance much, I still felt so much pride just from performing in school and getting the 2 silvers for SYF.

In Poly, they needed you to audition if you wanted to join the dance club and I just had... No confidence at all what so ever. I feel so stiff now...

If I could turn back time, I think I would have forced myself to take up dance classes despite my O's.
